Best Macgyver episodes of all time

Macgyver is one of the greater TV shows of our generation. It also holds up amazingly well. Why aren’t you watching it right now!?

Macgyver is cooler than you could ever possibly dream of being, even if you dreamt you were Macgyver.
Top Macgyver episodes of all time? Um, here:

#4

The Episode: “Harry’s Will” (Season 6, Episode 7)

The Plot: A kooky bunch of crooks and an elderly ex-con pursue MacGyver’s inherited station wagon thought to hold treasure. Henry Winkler(!) as Wilton Newberry.

In Other Words: The one where MacGyver is led on a scavenger hunt to track down a diamond that he can only find using clues from his memories of Harry (his childhood father figure) when MacGyver was a kid (hahaha), which revolve highly around MacGyver’s Youth Hockey experiences.

#3
The Episode: “Hell Week” (Season 3, Episode 9)

The Plot: MacGyver is picked to judge a contest at his old college, but an upset student makes a bomb which MacGyver must defuse.

In Other Words: The one where the crazy kid freaks out Columbine-style after a physics competition in which students are tasked to build engineering-miracle barricades.

#2 (a very close second)
The Episode: “Squeeze Play” (Season 6, Episode 11)

The Plot: A baseball counterfeit memorabilia ring attempts to blackmail the daughter of a former baseball player. Reggie Jackson guest-stars as himself.

In Other Words: The amazing baseball card episode—where thieves (those rat bastards!) steal a bunch of old baseball cards (remember when they were valuable?) to try to blackmail Reggie Jackson’s daughter. Yes, it’s as amazing as it sounds.

#1
The Episode: “Two Times Trouble” (Season 5, Episode 10)

The Plot: MacGyver’s rock singer friend Roxie thinks her twin sister Carla is trying to kill her.

In Other Words: The one where Macgyver is friends with twin rockstars who are also avid rockclimbers and one of them turns out to be (surprise!) dead, which is why the other is now (surprise!) crazy. MacGyver solves the mystery in a moment of clarity when staring at a painting with a magnifying glass.

Another by-the-way: Blossom was on several episodes of Macgyver! Sadly, no episodes featuring Joey Lawrence :(
